One person died in a collision of motorcycles that took place at 8:00 pm Friday in Gauradaha of Jhapa district.
Dipendra Bista, 42, died in the accident when two motorcycles (Ko 13 Pa 8554 and Me 2 Pa 920) collided at Sitapuri in Gauradaha -2 along Padajungi Gaurigunj section. He died while undergoing treatment at Lifeline Hospital Damak, Area Police Office Damak said. Bista was a pillion rider in the motorcycle Me 2 Pa 920.
Motorcycle driver Ekindra Basnet, 40, seriously injured in the accident has been sent to Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar from Damak for further treatment.
Driver of the another motorcycle, Binod Karki, 39, of Damak -11 has been taken into control for investigation, said Chief of the Area Police Office Damak, Inspector Hari Khatiwada.
