Nepal vs UAE T20 warm-up on at Fatullah

KATHMANDU: The national cricket team will play two warm-up matches, against Ireland and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), ahead of their maiden ICC World Twenty20 appearance in Bangladesh in March.

Nepal will meet Ireland in a day/night match Fatullah on March 12 which is also going to be the first encounter between the two sides in any format of senior cricket. After a day rest, Nepal meet the UAE for a day match at the same venue.

Nepal will begin their ICC World Twenty20 campaign with the Group A match against Hong Kong on March 16 before playing hosts Bangladesh on March 18. They will finish the preliminary round with the match against Afghanistan on March 20. Only the winner of the group will join the top eight Test playing nations in the second round.

Nepal are making their first ever appearance in the ICC World Twenty20 after finishing third

in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifiers held in November last year at the UAE. Nepal had defeated the hosts to finish third in the tournament.

A bus veered off a mountain highway in Nepal and plunged into a river, killing 14 people and injuring seven others

Government administrator Shiva Raj Joshi says the bus skidded off the Sidhartha highway before dawn Thursday and rolled 300 meters before it plunged into the Bhalukhola river in Palpa district.
Twelve people were killed at the crash site and two more died in the hospital.

The crash occurred near Chidipani, a village 320 kilometers northwest of the capital, Katmandu.
The highway is narrow and with hairpin bends, Raj said, adding that the visibility was poor.

Road accidents are relatively common in Nepal due to poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving.

4. Honesty (“Does what he claims”)

He had made different claims and fulfilled his claims right from his position and had showed his honesty and responsibility towards citizen of Nepal. He had claimed that he would not led Politics to be his occupation for him and would find other methods of earning for his living. He had clearly stated that “Politics would be his service but not his occupation”.

We have seen every type of Prime Minister in the past and it is time now to try some different. He is a youth Leader with right capabilty, punctuality and is worth to give a try.

Rajesh Hamal’s Secret Wedding at Singapore

The Superstar of Nepalese film industry Mr. Rajesh Hamal finally got married at the age of 45. But the surprising thing is no one was aware about this wedding. Even journalists are getting shocked after knowing about the superstar’s wedding.  The ceremony takes place at Pan-Pacific hotel of Singapore only with the family member of groom and bride. Around 820 relatives of Hamal and His wife were reached Singapore from Nepal to attend the wedding. It is being heard that Hamal has strictly warned his family members and relatives not to leak the news else he will cancel the wedding. One of his family members told us in the condition of not flashing his name that Rajesh Dai didn’t want to make his marriage ceremony public and he didn’t want news reporters to ruin his enjoyment.

The wedding ceremony was arranged by “Junebug Weddings”, world’s best wedding planner and event organizing company. Hamal reached Singapore on 20th October and look after the arrangements. His family members and relatives were called on 23rd January exactly 4 days before the big day. The staffs of Tribhuwan International Airport were also feeling surprised seeing such a big crowd flying to Singapore. However they didn’t find anything to suspect them.

It is being heard that the ceremony was being arranged from 3 months just after the engagement and no one is known about the superstar’s engagement. And the most surprising thing is Rajesh Dai didn’t marry his so called girlfriend “Madhu” from Biratnagar. Instead he got engaged with Smita Regmi, daughter of Mr. Hom Parsad Regmi (NRN Singapore). We have not enough information about the relationship between Hamal and Smita but we got to know that they first meet on London this October where Hamal was attending a Cultural program and Smita was audience there. On the program once the host asked one special question to the female audience that how many of them are ready to marry Rajesh Hamal? The question was asked as a humorous way and many hands were raised up. The program host thought to call one of them on the stage and give an opportunity to purpose Rajesh Dai. Smita was the lucky girl and she purpose Hamal for their marriage feeling shy and bending her knee. The Host asks her why she wants to marry Rajesh Dai and Smita Suddenly shouted, “Don’t tell him Dai, he is my dream boy.” Everybody in the audience laughs there. But Rajesh Dai was really impressed by her purposing style and likes her in the sense, “Ekai Najar Ma….Maya Basyo Haiiii….Tyo Aankha Le Heri DinaLe…“  It is further said that Rajesh Dai secretly asked her number and called her after the program.

Next Day, Rajesh Dai called her for a coffee and they have lots of conversation there. The visited lots of places in London and spend many times understanding each other. After dating one week one day Hamal purposed her for marriage and Smita accepts it with smiling face. They tightly hugged each other feeling exited. After two days Smita was to left for Singapore and Rajesh Dai also returned to Nepal. They were in touch and spending around 8 hours on phone talking each other. The nearest person of Hamal told that Hamal was not accepting any role purposed to him and denying meeting the producers. Everyone was feeling amazed seeing the sudden change on Hamal’s behavior but nobody was able to found the reason behind it.

The heroine of the movie Daisy Shah was not feeling well and only Salman and his brother and director of the film Soheil Khan was talking about the movie and requesting their fans to watch it. But the audience demands Salman to dance on the song “Tere naina…naina….” Salman accepts the audience request and ask for music but at the same time Soheil humorously said that, “Our heroine is not feeling well enough to dance we want one from you guys.” And luckily point his finger to Samita and asked her to come stage and join Salman. Samita feel so unconscious and could not react anything for some times and Salman gently ask her if she is nervous. Samita said, “I cannot believe that I am with you in the same stage. I need someone to pinch me.” Salman slowly pinch her and ask, “Is is ok?” Samita in a smiling face said, “Oh! Salman: (Smiling gently) It is my pleasure that I have so beautiful fan like you, I truly say that you are the most beautiful girl in the earth.

Samita: (Feeling unconscious) Oh…..!!! (Smiling) Thank you Salman, Thank you so much.

Salman: Are you ready to dance?

Samita: I am always ready for you.

When the dance is over Salman asks Samita to go backstage and wait for him. He also goes backstage after the press meet and they have a lot of discussion. At the end Salman calls Smita to Mumbai and they started daily dating there. After few days Salman fix a meeting with his father Salim Khan and Samita and ask him how is she? Salim Uncle appreciates Salman’s choice and now the parents of Samita are going to meet Salman and his family and talk about their relationship. Dr KC warns of a return to strike

KATHMANDU, FEB 03 - Barely a week after breaking his death fast, Dr Govinda KC has warned to go back on strike if the government does not appoint a new dean at the Institute of Medicine (IoM) by Tuesday evening.

In an SMS circulated on Sunday to all three secretaries of the government task force formed to address the demands put forth by doctors across the country, Dr KC has said he will return to indefinite hunger strike if the appointment of dean is not materialised in the next two days.

Dr KC had ended his indefinite hunger strike on January 24 after a four-member government task force headed by Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office Krishna Hari Baskota agreed in principle to address three of his seven demands. The government team had agreed to address his demands to start feasibility study on providing autonomy to the IoM; stop affiliation to new medical colleges and set up a mechanism to appoint a new dean on the basis of “seniority and work experience”. Secretary at the Home Ministry Janardan Nepal, Secretary at the Education Ministry Narayan Gopal Malegu and Secretary at the Health Ministry Pravin Mishra were the other members of the government team.

Thanking the secretaries for issuing an order to appoint a new IoM dean, Dr KC texted: “TU authority are so inefficient, irresponsible and corrupt they would not comply.

For your kind information if it is not materialised within the next two days, I’ll have no other choice but to start civil disobedience again.”  

The senior orthopaedic surgeon at the TU Teaching Hospital has charged the government of being accomplice of ‘medical mafia’. “If the government really wanted to address my demands earnestly, we’d already have a new dean at the IoM ,” said Dr KC.

Dr Kishore Khanal, the president of the Nepal Resident Doctors Association, has also warned of serious consequences if the TU appoints a new dean without adhering to the “seniority and work experience” rule as they had agreed. “We firmly believe in the demands put forth by Dr KC and support him for the better cause,” said Dr Khanal.

Meanwhile, the Education Ministry has dispatched a letter to the TU, urging it to appoint the dean at the earliest. TU Registrar Chandra Mani Poudel said they will appoint a new dean soon.

Artists arrive in Malaysia to participate in NEFTA Film Award

Nepali film related personalities have arrived to participate in one of the biggest Nepali film event in it’s 50-years-old history. The artists participating in the event are near 100 in number including most of the well known actors and technicians. NEFTA film award is going to be held on January 31, 2014.

Karishma Benisha Rajesh Payal, Jharana, Suman Gaire

The participants of NEFTA film award have already reached Malaysia. Some of the well known actors in the ceremony include Karishma Manandhar, Jharana Thapa, Namrata Shreshta, Saujanya Subba, Neeta Dhungana, Benisha Hamal, Richa Sharma, Harshika Shrestha, Pooja Sharma, Aryan Sigdel, Saugat Malla, Samyam Puri, Gajit Bista, Sraj Garach, Nir Shah, Ujjwal Ghimire, Dinesh DC, Aakash Adhikari, Suraj Subba, Suresh Adhikari, Rajesh Payal Rai, Nischal Basnet, Sudarsan Thapa, Dinesh Raut, and Gobind Rai. Similarly actors Rajesh Hamal, Keki Adhikari, Sunil Thapa, Niruta Singh and others had also arrived in Malaysia.

The organizers claim that this is the first time so many Nepali actors have gone out of the country to participate in a program held in a foreign country.

Actress Rekha Thapa has refused to go to Malaysia at the last minute after the bargaining for the Best Actress award failed.
