How to choose best consultants for Australia in Nepal?

It is a big question for every candidate “How to choose best consultants for Australia in Nepal?” There are almost fifteen hundreds of consultancies in Nepal which are currently in operating condition among which eighty percent are in Putali Sadak area. Everyday above million Nepali rupees are invested in advertisements by these consultancies which covers around fifty percent of major newspapers advertisement space. Good looking advertisements and facebook banners may confuse the students while choosing the best consultancies for their further studies in Australia. Here are some factors to figure out while choosing best consultancies applying for Australia.
1. Brand name of the consultancy in context of studies in Australia

Out of 1500 operating consultancies in Nepal there are only few consultancies that can guide you with better information for further study in Australia. Alfa Beta, Orbit, Grace, Interface etc. are among the top consultancies where each consultancies had sent above five hundreds of Nepalese students to Australia with a good success rate. Consulting with your senior ones who are already in Australia would help you choose the right consultancy.

2. Experience of the consultancy along with the consultant’s personal experience with Australia

How can anyone guide you through for Australia without any prior experience of him/herself? Anyone could be aware of the education cost which is already mentioned at the time of enrollment but a good consultant should guide you through the living expenses, lifestyle and many practical problems that student have to face during stay in Australia. Expenses, job opportunity, rent etc. differs for different city in Australia which only a good consultant can guide you through.

On the other hand, choose a consultancy which have a good prior experience dealing with Australia and never confuse with consultancy which have prior experience sending to countries other than Australia.

3. Success rate of visa for Australia of the consultancy

You should go through the history of consultancy and find out the number of successful applicants whose Australian visa had been granted against failure in granting visa. Some consultancies have above ninety percent of success rate and should choose them for Australian studies.

4. Consultancy with agency ship with of the renowned and multiple Universities of Australia

Consultancies should provide you different colleges and universities within different cities with different tuition costs for you to choose. Consultancies associated with higher ranking universities and colleges are most trusted than the newly opened and low ranked colleges. You should think wisely through these angles before choosing your consultancy.

These are the major factors that you should take into consideration before choosing right consultancy for you to apply for Australia. Beside these you can ask your relatives and seniors who are already there in Australia or had returned from Australia. There is no dought that Australia is now number one destinations for Nepalese students and work seeking people.

Why Facebook Marketing is most effective in context of Nepal

Nepal, a country of 27 million people with 10 million people with internet access on their mobile phone has above 3.5 million active Facebook users till the last of 2013 and is increasing at good rate.Nepalese people use social networks a lot in compare to other nations. Google had reported that Nepal was on the seventh position according to number of G+ users in the first month of it’s launch.

Nepal suffers a lot from no light “load sheeding” upto 16 hours a day in the winter so people depend upon the battery powered devices like Mobile and laptop replacing televisions for the entertainment purpose and are used to log in Facebook first as soon as they open such devices.Targeting an specific category of audience is possible only with the Facebook because there are no any other national level magazines, television, FM radio etc that are for specific category of people. Nepalese youths are living in abroad countries for their work maximum in Middle East countries so there’s no any other media other than Facebook that might reach them efficiently except facebook.

Facebook advertisements are the most cheapest medium of advertisement in Nepal recently because the trend is new and not everyone had jumped in to it and Facebook decides the pricing depending upon the competition of advertisers to advertise on Facebook. So, till we have  more advertisers on Facebook, it would remain as the cheapest means of advertisement.

According to Roshan Rai, Facebook Advertisement Marketing Manager at CoACT Solution Facebook marketing  is very effective and has given a bigger return on investment to the business comparative to television, magazine and hoording boards. He added although Facebook advertisements is increasing in Nepal there is no official payment gateway to pay to Facebook for advertisement which is the main hurdles that we have to face. He expects goverment of Nepal to some actions regarding it and create some official payment mediums which will also be benificial for them to collect tax.

Calif. governor proclaims state in a drought

Written By Pikford Junior on Friday, January 17, 2014 | 7:14 PM

California is nearly as dry as it's ever been. High water marks rim half-full reservoirs. Cities are rationing water. Clerics are praying for rain. Ranchers are selling cattle, and farmers are fallowing fields.

Gov. Jerry Brown formally proclaimed a drought Friday, saying California is in the midst of perhaps its worst dry spell in a century. He made the announcement in San Francisco amid increasing pressure from lawmakers and as firefighters battled flare-ups in a Southern California wildfire that chased thousands of people from their homes.

Unless the state gets significant rainfall in the next two months, television sets glowing with wildfires could play like reruns throughout the year.

Reservoir levels in the north and central parts of the state were more depleted than in Southern California, but Brown still asked Los Angeles to do its part to conserve -- and gave a nod to the politics of water in the vast state.

"The drought accentuates and further displays the conflicts between north and south and between urban and rural parts of the state. So, as governor, I'll be doing my part to bring people together and working through this."

Farmers and ranchers in the nation's No. 1 farm state already are making hard choices to conserve. Some cities are in danger of running out of water. And the first snow survey of the winter found more bare ground than fluffy white stuff -- a key barometer of future supply.

"I am a fifth-generation cattle rancher, and it has never been this bad ever in my lifetime -- and from my family's history, it's never been anywhere close to this bad ever," said Kevin Kester, 58. He said his family's records show the area's worst drought previously was in the 1890s.

Kester's Central California ranch normally gets 20 inches of rain between October and April. It's gotten about a half-inch of precipitation since late fall. His cattle usually graze on lush green hillsides in winter. Now, they're eating hay instead -- a proposition that is too expensive to continue for long.

"I hope it's something we can tell our great-grandkids about, but right now we're just trying to figure out how we're going to survive," he said.

The drought doesn't bode well for California's notorious wildfire season, either.

Previous super-dry years led to catastrophic wildfire seasons in California in 2003 and 2007, said Tom Scott, a natural resources specialist with the University of California system. Fire crews beat back a wildfire southeast of Los Angeles earlier this week, but it was a stark reminder of the dry and dangerous conditions.

"People say that the fire season is starting early, but I guess you could say it never ended," Scott said. "If you live in the backcountry, come July you probably should be thinking about putting your valuables in storage."

Droughts also are persisting or intensifying elsewhere in the U.S.

On Wednesday, federal officials said they were designating portions of Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Kansas, Texas, Utah, Arkansas, Hawaii, Idaho, Oklahoma and California as primary natural disaster areas, highlighting the financial strain facing farmers in those regions.

Even in the moist Pacific Northwest, things were a little bit drier.

In Seattle, rainfall dropped by nearly 70 percent in December, with just 1.66 inches falling. Ski resorts are opening several weeks late, and a Bavarian-themed town in the Cascade Mountains had to modify its annual "ice fest" because there isn't enough snow on the ground for activities. A plan to truck in snow was scrapped with high temperatures forecast this weekend.

And despite heavy flooding in Colorado in September, large portions of Colorado and Wyoming are abnormally dry, while ranchers on the plains of southeastern Colorado have severe drought conditions.

In California, the governor's drought declaration will help battle unemployment in the agriculture industry as fields are left fallow.

Nearly 10,000 people lost their jobs during the last drought in 2009, said Karen Ross, California's agriculture secretary. The drought also increases the burden on food banks in rural and agricultural communities.

The lack of rain also could have long-standing implications for the demand for crops that are almost entirely exclusive to California.

Eighty percent of the world's almonds, for example, are grown in California, and the Almond Board of California receives 3 cents for every pound sold to build future demand for the nut. With many almond growers having to irrigate their crops three months early, a smaller crop might put a dent in the board's ability to market almonds as broadly as it has been, said David Phippen, an almond grower who serves on the board.

"There's huge implications everywhere you look," he said. "What about five years down the road?"

New York Times mentions Nepal in its list of destinations

Written By Pikford Junior on Thursday, January 16, 2014 | 5:26 PM

KATHANDU, JAN 12 - The New York Times identifies Nepal in 45th position in its 52 places list, pointing out exciting features or new attractions that travelers shouldn’t miss this year.

The list includes Nepal because of the 165 new peaks that are in process to open for climbers.

The list says that Nepal is “is the mother lode of alpinism, home to eight of the world’s 10 highest summits (including Everest)”, explaining that the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation subcommittee has recommended that Nepal allow access to 165 new peaks in the Kanchenjunga massif this year — 13 of them above 23,000 feet.

At present, out of around 1,500 peaks in the country, only 326 are currently open for climbers. According to General Secretary of Nepal Mountaineering Association, Deebas Bikram Shah, bureaucratic processes to open the peaks remain.

“The idea to open more peaks came up during the 60th anniversary of the ascent of Everest,” Shah said. However, he denied to reveal the names of the peaks to be opened while stating that the preliminary homework for opening the new peaks was in process.

Capetown of South Africa is at the apex of the NY Times list.

2015 Ford Mustang top speed revealed

We knew the 2015 Ford Mustang would be fast, but exactly how fast?

Well, now we know that too. Sort of.

While it’ll still be a couple of months before the performance specifications for the new Mustang are detailed in full, the man with the plan has confirmed the top speeds of models equipped with each of the three engines available.

In an interview with Autoevolution, Mustang Chief Engineer Dave Pericak revealed that coupes with the carry-over entry-level 305 hp V6 will have their electronic limiters increased from today’s 113 mph to 121 hp, while 5.0-liter V8 models get a boost from 149 mph to 155 mph.

The last of those figures is in line with the gentleman’s agreement among European carmakers aimed at keeping speeds on the German Autobahn relatively reasonable, and clearly indicative of Ford’s global ambitions for the updated Mustang.

As for the 300-ish hp 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that will fall between the two naturally-aspirated engines in the lineup, it will come with standard a 121 mph limiter, but cars equipped with the optional high performance Track Pack will be able to hit 145 mph, which a Ford spokesperson tells FoxNews.com is also an electronically restricted speed.

So how fast do the new Mustangs really go?

We’ll have to wait until a hacker gets their hands on one and lets it run free.

Archaeologists in Egypt discover tomb of previously unknown pharaoh from 1650 B.C.

Egypt's Ministry of Antiquities says that American and Egyptian archaeologists have discovered the tomb of a previously unknown pharaonic king dating back to dating to roughly 1650 B.C.

Minister of Antiquities Mohamed Ibrahim says in a statement Wednesday that archaeologists from the University of Pennsylvania, cooperating with the ministry, uncovered the tomb of sixteenth-dynasty King Seneb Kay near the southern city of Sohag. The team determined his name by deciphering hieroglyphics on the tomb's walls.

During the second intermediate period of ancient Egyptian history, the country was divided among several rulers.

Head of Antiquities Ali al-Asfar says the discovery will shed light on a complex period of ancient history.

"This adds to our pharaonic history, and sheds light on an era about which we knew very little previously," he says.

Initiative of young student helps single mothers

Written By Pikford Junior on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 | 5:28 PM

If there is a will, there is a way. A student in the USA, Yangmali Sahadev Rai of Bhojpur had a passion for social service and he has already taken the initiative, albeit in a small scale, to help the needy.
Rai, 23, came to know about Clinton Global Initiative while in the US in 2012 and applied for funding.
In March 2013, he beat other 150 semi-finalists and bagged the seed money USD 9,000, which is awarded to the students who broach innovative solutions to pressing social problems.
The student-cum-activist has now given employment to four single mothers from the remote Kot Village of Bhojpur, his home district.

The four Rai women -- namely Pramila, Ganga, Sharmila and Sangita – have hired a piece of land where they are full-time workers. They grow and sell vegetables in the local market. A share of the surplus income from the farming is donated to the local Kot School where most of the village children are enrolled.
These women receive five thousand rupees per month. Every month twenty one thousand rupees is sent from Yang-ward foundation, US to Bhojpur Headquarters for these women. The extra one thousand is for miscellaneous use such as buying seeds and other agricultural tools. The project will be self-sustaining in two years.
The work is supervised by Sangeeta Rai, one of the four working women, and the management team of Kot School.
Locals say it is an ideal project for the empowerment of women who are struggling for survival in society.
Says local politician Nanda Mani Rai: "This project is a very good example of women empowerment. I appreciate the fact that the responsibilities are also handed over to the women. "
On top of that, local resources are used to generate revenues and a share of the surplus is contributed for the betterment of the community. "Whatever amount of money is generated circulates among the community members," says the politician.
The initiative of the young student has paid off. The four women are now leading an empowered life. "The women have become 'somebody' from 'nobody'. And I am happy with my work," says Yangmali Sahadev Rai.
Rai is positive about his project and plans to scale it up gradually. The project will be self-sustaining in two years, and he wants to give employment to more women who are in the difficult financial conditions.
Kot is a remote village of Bhojpur district. It is a nine-hour walk from the district headquarters and life is harsh. It is yet to be seen how Rai achieves his lofty goals.

Beast from the east to bring SNOW, freezing winds and weather chaos to the UK

The mercury is expected to plunge to below freezing bringing harsh frosts and the risk of wintry showers to the entire country.

Bitter gales from Siberia and the Arctic region will make temperatures feel close to -11C (12F) in the North and -6C (21F) elsewhere.
Workers helping to take out the Vehicle from the Snow

Forecasters warned to expect a dramatic change from the recent mild, wet and windy conditions with the cold set to last for weeks.

The big freeze is due to arrive after the weekend after more rain has hit parts of the UK already battling with severe floods.

The Met Office has issued severe weather warnings for heavy rain in the South-west tomorrow with more than an inch likely to fall in parts.
Forecaster Dan Williams said: “It is getting calmer though there is some more rain about on Thursday, some quite heavy in Wales.

“This will spread northwards and there is still some wind about, around coastal regions these could reach gale-force.

“We are then going to move away from the milder conditions and it is going to feel colder with an increased risk of frosts, for and wintry showers.”

The Environment Agency tonight still had 181 flood alerts and 103 more serious flood warnings in place with many rivers at dangerously high levels.

It said levels along the Avon in Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset, the Stour in Dorset, the Parrett in Somerset and the Severn are still rising.Communities along the River Thames in Surrey, Berkshire and Oxfordshire are also at risk of flooding over the next few days.

Paul Mustow, flood risk manager at the Environment Agency said: “Teams continue to work to work around the clock maintaining flood defences, clearing watercourses and deploying pumps and temporary defences to protect communities at risk.

“The risk of flooding continues this week, with communities in the south west and south east urged to stay safe and sign up to free flood warnings.”

Jonathan Powell, forecaster for Vantage Weather Services, said freezing air from Siberia and North-eastern Europe is due to flood in after the weekend.
Snow Melts as it is turning into water

He said a stubborn area of high pressure threatens to wedge itself over the UK leading to weeks of freezing winds, snow and ice.He said: “Cold air from the east is going to sweep in meeting the milder air from the west currently keeping temperatures above average.

Cars escape out from the snow fall

“Depending on how this battle plays out we are likely to see a dramatic change in the weather with temperatures plunging bringing widespread snow, ice and frost.

“The entire country could see wintry showers, with central and eastern parts most at risk, and this could shape up to be a very severe winter snap.

“Depending on the stubborn nature of the high pressure the entire country could shiver for weeks in a severe bitter winter blast.”James Madden, forecaster for Exacta Weather, said rain over the weekend is likely to turn to snow with the North braced for a “significant” deluge.

He warned the extreme cold and snow threatens to hold out into next month with much of the country in for weeks of winter misery.

He said: “Rain is also likely to turn to snow in some places throughout Sunday and into Monday, especially across some parts of Scotland, Northern England, and some parts to the west of the country and Wales.

“Some significant snow is likely across parts of Scotland, with the potential for some moderate falls of snow in parts of Northern England, even some parts of the far south may be at risk of seeing some non-significant wintry showers.

“The remainder of January is likely to see a dominating theme of rather cold conditions that are also likely to persist into February.

“The cold conditions will also be accompanied by widespread snow showers and some lasting accumulations of snow across the country.”

Netweather warned of a chance of snow even as far south as London by the end of next week with the North facing showers from the weekend.Forecaster Paul Michaelwaite said: “Looking ahead into next week, the forecasting models have started to show colder air from the east making a move toward the British Isles.”

The Weather Channel’s Leon Brown warned of more wet weather over the next few days before the “first spell of winter” arrives.

He said up to four inches of snow could fall over high ground of the North with around two expected elsewhere.

He said: “Another band of rain will try to push east late Sunday to Monday, but this time will become blocked by high pressure building over Scandinavia.

“There is a growing risk that the rain may turn to sleet and wet snow from the Midlands northwards on Monday, especially above 150 metres, but perhaps even at lower levels.

“Next week then looks colder with the first real spell of winter with winds from the east.

“Expect night frosts and wintry showers in the east as high pressure builds over Scandinavia and the North Sea.”Communities face a massive clean-up after weeks of heavy rain and gales have flooded homes, and left swathes of the country under inches of water.

The death toll from the storms has hit seven while more than 1,700 homes and businesses have  flooded  since the beginning of  Christmas.

High winds over Christmas left 250,000 homes without power with some families waiting days for electricity to be restored.

Environment Secretary Owen Paterson this week said the Government was working with councils and the insurance industry as the clean-up begins.

Prime Minister David Cameron said some energy companies did not have enough staff working over Christmas to deal effectively with power failures.

Speaking during Prime Minister’s Questions yesterday he said: “No matter how good the preparation there are always lessons to learn and I think there are lessons to learn on this occasion.

“On the positive side, the Environment Agency warning service worked better than it has in the past, the flood defences did protect up to a million homes over the December and Christmas period.

“But there are some negatives there and we need to learn lessons - particularly some of the energy companies did not have enough people over the holiday period for emergency response.”

9-year-old orphan boy seeks shelter

Nine-year-old Laxman Thapa of Girichauka VDC in the district, who lost all his family members—his parents, two younger sisters and a brother—to HIV/AIDS, has come to district headquarters Silgadhi seeking shelter.

Laxman, however, is not HIV positive. Orphaned at the age of four, he was living with his uncle Jayaram, who already had a trouble raising his seven children. Laxman was later rescued by Kamala Nepali of Dhamigaun in Silgadhi—who is also an HIV positive and lost her husband to AIDS—and brought to the district headquarters .

“I can vaguely remember the face of my parents,” said Thapa, adding that he would work for anyone in exchange of food and shelter.

Accompanied by Kamala, Laxman has been going from one organisation to the other in search of help. “I would be really happy if I get some support to look after him,” she said while talking to the officials at the Women Development Office.

She said Women Development Officer Durga Bhattarai Baral has assured her of finding proper care and shelter for the boy no matter how long it will take.

Baral said she was thankful that Kamala rescued Laxman and that everyone should take initiatives to ensure proper care for the boy.
